Bankruptcy laws changed in 2005, but bankruptcy is still available to help you. If you are
like many of my clients, you may know that you are unable to pay your debts, but you need to find a way to deal
with them. You may be losing sleep. Your house may be in jeapordy of foreclosure. Perhaps your car is about
to be repossed. Your creditors might be calling, but you are doing the best you can do. You are current
on all of your bills, but you need to use credit to keep up payments (some call that robbing Peter to pay Paul). Maybe
you have always paid on time, but your income has dropped and you can't keep all your payments up anymore. Most of my
clients would rather do anything than talk to me (a bankruptcy attorney), so they put off calling for months, often
years. The one thing that almost all my clients have in common is that they are good people who would pay their debts
if they could.
